When you know a person for that long, you really KNOW that person. Know what I mean?
Anyway, we all get together at least once a year to catch up with each other. Sometimes, during good years, we manage to get away more often.
I brought my point-and-shoot along and managed to capture some pics while drive up yesterday. It was a picture-perfect day in the mid 60s. Guess what I saw lots of?
I didn't capture a ton of motorcycle pics, but I did get some scenes from the countryside that may make some of you drool.
Maybe you should go grab a tissue before scrolling down...
Lancaster County is VERY picturesque.
That's one of my favorite barns. Even for riding in the car (or truck, as the case may be), I have favorite scenic routes. PA-896 from Oxford PA, near US-1, across through Strasburg to US-30 is one of those roads.
I have a better picture of that barn from a past trip. But I had to snag this one with the Amish buggy riding past.
Weekends can get quite busy, what with all the buggies, tourists, and road apples. But the gently rolling countryside dotted with small farms makes it all worthwhile.
There are lots and LOTS of small farms. There have to be more farms per square mile in this area than anywhere else on Earth.
There's just something about barns... Especially on days when the sky is so incredibly blue.
See the cows? I was on a schedule so couldn't stop. I'm sure I'll see more over the next few days.
This is another one of my favorite farms. It's just off of 896 in Paradise, PA.
Look, it's a buggy trifecta!
Today dawned cold and rainy. I doubt I'll capture much scenery. But Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be better.
